Celebrating 2018 Trailblazer Impact

Trailblazer Class of 2018 Closed with Celebration Events

On 31 August we celebrated the official end of the Trailblazer Program Class of 2018 at the Celebration Event of our December 2018 Intake in Limpopo. The Trailblazer Class of 2018 was our largest one to date, with 335 youth trained in 3 intakes, with enke: Forums held in Northern Cape (June 2018, at Upington High School), Free State (June 2018 at Louis Botha Technical School), and Limpopo (December 2018 at Pax College).

2018 Trailblazer Program Impact

Part of our work is to create a community of young people who take action on social issues. We are so proud to add our 2018 Trailblazers to that community – here is a snapshot of their impact:

2018 Trailblazer Program Celebration Events

The enke: Trailblazer Program Celebration Events were held as follows:

  • The Kings Haven, Bloemfontein, Free State (5 May),
  • Kalahari Lodge, Kimberley, Northern Cape (12 May) and
  • Shangri-La Country Lodge, Modimolle, Limpopo (31 August).

There are 2 parts to our Trailblazer Program Celebration Events, starting with a morning session where Trailblazers reflect on and share their experience over the last 9 months and overall stories change. In the afternoon, we have a certificate ceremony that is open to the public and where Trailblazers, selected by their peers, share their experience of the Program, their projects and impact.

At the Trailblazer Program Celebration Events our Class of 2018 was inducted into the enke: Alumni Network. We are currently fundraising to build resources and further engagement opportunities for enke Alumni to continue their great work and positive impact in society. Contribute to the enke’s 2019 GlobalGiving Accelerator Project.
